"Heathens" 異教徒，在中文亦可轉譯為「人道殊途」稱之，出自晉．陸機〈思親賦〉：「天步悠長，人道短矣，異途同歸，無早晚矣。」，由 "Good and Brave" 人與生俱來的美德與勇氣，並非信仰哪一個教義的人專屬，而是取決於人自在的本心。所以任何人透過自在的本心都能達到自由的境界，但應該要存於人性，而不是堅信神賦予的神性而已。

AURORA歐若拉解釋了這首歌曲：
事實上來自《創世紀》之中的經典故事，很久很久以前，夏娃嚐了一口懸吊在善惡之樹上的「禁忌之果」。
AURORA explains the track is inspired by the classic tale from the Book of Genesis. “A long, long time ago, Eve took a bite of a forbidden apple hanging from the tree of evil and good," she says.
在她如此的作為下，她同時得到了人性。我知道這是非常美的，我想尊敬她以及和她一樣的女性，就是(尊敬)那些一步一步幫助我們得到自由的人。那種自由是生來即喜悅、能探索與品嘗人世間。我想人生應該能活在所有色彩之下，但也這讓我們活得像異教徒。
"In her act of doing so, she granted humans free will; I just think that is very beautiful, and I wanted to honour her and women like her, who little by little granted us freedom in this world. A freedom to live as we please, to explore and taste. I think life should be lived in all of its colours, and that is why we live like heathens.”
